It probably has really taken Arlen this long to reply but he has been very busy.

I am glad to hear you are keeping busy, as I am likewise. The labs are a fascinating complex but establishing a set up of what I need is laborious. I am not good at manual labor. The Crumrins have assigned me an assistant and I am sorry to make him do so much of the work. My hands make heavy lifting too great a risk. I do not like to put so much on a man I barely know but he is a very hard and uncomplaining worker. He does not know anything about my work or anything like it, unfortunately, and I must give constant direction. It is my consolation I am assured he learns quickly and he is very trusted by the Crumrins.
I am not sure my employers trust me very much, so it is useful to be working with someone they do. I hope that I will gain their trust over time but I fear that I have put them off with my manners. I do not know how to be anything other then what I am but I know that most people do not react well to me. If you have a book to help me improve this in myself it would be much appreciated. To visit your library or what there is of it would be a very nice break. I would invite you to visit my place in the laboratory but you may wish to wait a little longer until it is together. I cannot invite you to visit the Crumrin's abode without their permission and I hesitate to ask at this early date in my employment.
I can think of nothing more at the moment and much work awaits me.
